The purpose of the conference is to promote the integrated development of science and technology and economy in the pig industry, and to facilitate the integration and enhancement of academic and practical exchanges among young and middle-aged scholars, thereby improving the international capacity and status of China's pig industry science and technology system.

Review of the Last Session 

From April 25th to 27th, 2024, the "Belt and Road" International Pig Industry Conference was grandly held at the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. This conference was a major event in the industry, inviting 27 renowned experts to give speeches. The content of these speeches was rich and detailed, eventually forming 43 highly valuable conference reports. The conference attracted nearly 600 attendees from over 60 units, representing a total of 5 million sows managed by their respective enterprises, demonstrating the extensive influence of this conference. 

In addition, the conference innovatively set up special sessions on Denmark, France, the Netherlands, and North America, bringing to the participants systematic knowledge and cutting-edge technologies of the world-leading pig production systems. This allowed attendees to feel as if they were in a treasure trove of international pig industry knowledge and technology, enabling them to fully absorb advanced experiences, broaden their international horizons, and inject new vitality into the global pig industry's development.

Highlights of This Session 

The Belt and Road International Pig Industry Conference will be held in Zhengzhou in August 2025. The conference will closely focus on the current hot and pain points of the pig industry, with a particular emphasis on discussing strategies for coping with market fluctuations, sustainable development under environmental pressure, prevention and control of diseases such as African swine fever, and new technologies for healthy pig farming. As a distinctive feature, we will continue to organize special sessions for Europe and America. In these sessions, you will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the leading pig farming systems and advanced technologies in these regions. From Denmark's efficient farming model to France's meticulous management experience, from the Netherlands' innovative technology application to North America's large-scale operation strategies, each session will be a feast of knowledge. 

In addition, to encourage and support young workers to engage in the pig breeding industry, we will set up a special session for young workers, inviting young and middle-aged experts who have made significant breakthroughs from domestic teaching, research and industry to introduce the latest progress. 

To enable more practitioners to participate in this grand event, we have adopted a hybrid online and offline model. Even if you are unable to attend in person, you can still take part in the conference in real time through online lectures and interactive sessions.
