The Belt and Road International Pig Industry Conference (BRIPIC) is initiated by Henan Agricultural University, relying on the Belt and Road International Pig Industry Science and Technology Innovation Institute. The conference is committed to "promoting the integrated development of science, technology, and economy in the pig industry, and enhancing the cooperation and exchange among young and middle-aged scholars and practitioners". It also aims to "improve the capability and status of China's pig industry technology system on the international stage". In line with the implementation of China's Belt and Road Initiative, the conference seeks to deepen scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road, and to promote the sustainable, healthy, and positive development of the international pig industry.
Based on the experience of Henan Agricultural University in hosting three consecutive sessions of the Belt and Road Chinese Academy of Engineering International High-end Forum on Engineering Technology Strategy and the Yellow River Forum, the conference specifically establishes the Belt and Road Youth Innovation Practice Forum for international young experts and scholars. This provides a platform for young experts in the pig industry and research fields to share and exchange ideas. The main conference opens with the theme of "Belt and Road International Pig Industry Science and Technology Innovation", focusing on the strategic positioning of the pig industry development. It also features in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as systematic prevention and control of viral and bacterial diseases, which are pain points in the industry, as well as special sessions on the sales and marketing of breeding pigs and piglets. These activities aim to provide practitioners with the most cutting-edge knowledge and a wealth of industry resources.
