Dr. Chenxi Shi, PhD, Associate Research Fellow, and Master’s Supervisor. She obtained her PhD in Basic Veterinary Medicine from Northeast Agricultural University in 2021, completed her postdoctoral research at the Postdoctoral Research Station in Veterinary Medicine of Henan Agricultural University in 2024, and stayed on as a faculty member. Her primary research focuses on drug development against porcine enteric coronaviruses and mechanistic studies of their treatment.
She has presided over projects including the Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Youth Scientist Program (Task 3) of the 14th Five-Year Plan Key Research and Development Program, and the Postdoctoral Research Startup Project of Henan Province. She has also participated in key national projects such as the Key Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s Regional Innovation and Development Joint Fund and the 14th Five-Year Plan Key Research and Development Program.
Shi holds 4 authorized invention patents, won 1 First Prize of Scientific and Technological Achievements from the Henan Provincial Department of Education, and participated in formulating 1 group standard. As the first or corresponding author, she has published 10 articles in journals such as Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, International Immunopharmacology, and Veterinary Research.
Her accolades include the Silver Award at the National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, 1 First Prize of Scientific and Technological Achievements from the Henan Provincial Department of Education, and commendation once by the Henan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.
