Prof. Xiangdang Du, a professor and PhD supervisor at Henan Agricultural University, was selected into the third batch of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program" Leading Talent and is a recipient of the 10th Henan Province Outstanding Expert Award. He serves as Vice President of the Pharmacology and Toxicology Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Deputy President of the Veterinary Scientific Drug Use Branch of the Chinese Veterinary Association, a member of the 6th and 7th Chinese Veterinary Pharmacopoeia Commission, and a member of the first National Veterinary Drug Review and Consultation Expert Database. His primary research focuses on pathogen drug resistance and phage therapy.
He has presided over 6 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects (including 1 Key Regional Innovation Project), key research tasks under the 14th Five-Year Plan's Key Research and Development Program, and the High-Level Foreign Expert Introduction Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology. He has published 70 SCI papers in top journals such as The Lancet Infectious Diseases, Science Advances, Clinical Microbiology and Infection, Clinical Microbiology Reviews, and Advanced Healthcare Materials, and has won 1 Second Prize of the Henan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.
